Discussion and Personal Application
Read the scripture passage and discuss the following questions as a group. Journaling your insights will help you deepen and personalize your learning.
How did God use these Christ-followers to meet people at their point of pain in each of the above stories? What were the results?
When has God used someone to meet you at your point of pain?
How is God using Westside to meet people at their pain points? How do we expand that care? How do we “scale love”?
Why is it important to keep the gospel at the center of our care for others?
As you pray about meeting people at their point of pain, how is God challenging you to grow as a disciple of Jesus?
Prayer
Pray that God would give you eyes to see people in their hurt and a heart to meet them at their point of pain. Pray that God will continue to grow our vision to scale the love of Jesus into the world around us.
